About Dr David Rivett (OAM)

Dr David Rivett has been a cornerstone of healthcare in Batemans Bay since 1975, caring for generations of local families with skill, dedication and compassion. With broad expertise across preventative care, paediatrics, anaesthesia, skin cancer and minor surgery, he has long been recognized as one of the region’s most respected, trusted and experienced clinicians. He also served the community as a GP VMO and GP anaesthetist at local hospitals, contributing significantly to acute and procedural care in the region.

Beyond his clinical work, Dr Rivett has shaped rural medicine across Australia. He has mentored countless junior doctors through ACRRM and RACGP, contributed to major national committees, and championed better healthcare for rural communities.
